Aiya specializes in the production of Matcha green tea. For bulk clients, the minimum order quantity is 10 kilograms. Each case contains 2 bags of 5 kilograms (approximately 22 pounds). Once imported from Japan, the Matcha is stored in a refrigerated warehouse and shipped from Aiya’s fulfillment center in Southern California. This allows Aiya's international clientele to receive consistent quality and freshness without the hassle of importing and customs clearance.

One of Aiya’s goals is to provide consistent quality of its Matcha grades throughout the year, as well as year-over-year. Currently, Aiya’s quality of Matcha is determined by two in-house tea sommeliers, who each have more than 40 years of experience in the field. They carefully evaluate and blend the fresh Tencha tea leaves prior to grinding to ensure consistent quality of the Matcha grades, regardless of the harvest season.

Aiya is the first company in the Matcha industry to carry organic certifications across international markets. Both JAS Organic by OMIC and NOP Organic by QAI certify Aiya’s organic products for the Japanese, North American, and European markets. By achieving global organic recognition, Aiya’s clients have the opportunity to sell their products as “Certified Organic” throughout the world.

With a spotless product recall record of over 130 years, Aiya continually strives to improve product quality. Aiya is equipped with an in-house laboratory to conduct thorough testing to ensure that the final product meets global food industry standards. Each step of the production process is thoroughly monitored and documented, and extensive internal and third-party laboratory inspections are conducted to ensure that the final product conforms to our stringent standards prior to shipment. As part of our commitment to transparency, Aiya undergoes annual third-party audits and holds multiple international certifications for our pure Matcha green tea. These certifications include: GFSI (FSSC 22000 by Bureau Veritas), AIB (Superior), JAS Organic by OMIC, NOP Organic by QAI, Halal, Kosher, Gluten-Free, and Non-GMO Project Verified.
