Vertically integrated with a network of over 200 family farmers, Aiya takes great pride in its longstanding generational relationships and owns over 80% of the harvesting rights to the Nishio tea plantations. The vast amount of procurement options allows Aiya the flexibility to blend its teas into various Matcha grades. This process ensures that the final product conforms to the highest quality and strictest specifications. Comparatively, smaller manufacturers with limited procurement options may be subject to great fluctuations in quality; one abnormal rainstorm could easily ruin the entire annual harvest.

As the leading producer of pure Japanese Matcha green tea, Aiya holds majority of the global market share. Aiya’s market dominance is further reflected in its capacity. Over 1,300 granite grinding mills operate 24 hours a day year-round to meet and exceed the rising demand of Matcha. Additionally, Aiya has the resources to produce more than enough Matcha to supply 70% of the North American market, 90% of the European market, and 40% of the Japanese market, as well as other emerging markets.
