Strawberries n Creme Matcha Latte

This Matcha latte is creamy, dreamy, and surprisingly easy to make! Who knew a little fruit and cream could result in a new favorite summer drink?
Strawberries n Creme Matcha Latte

INGREDIENTS
- Strawberry Compote
- • 1 cup diced strawberries
- • 1 Tbsp honey
- • pinch of salt
- Creme Patissiere
- • 1 cup milk
- • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste
- • 3 egg yolks
- • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- • ¼ cup sugar
- • pinch of salt
- • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- Matcha Latte
- • 1 packet Aiya Matcha Sweetened Matcha To Go
- • 1 cup milk of choice
DIRECTIONS
- Strawberry Compote
- 1. In a saucepan, heat strawberries, honey, and salt for about 10 minutes. Stir frequently. Once the mixture breaks down into a saucy, jammy texture, remove from heat. Let it chill overnight or at least to room temp.
- Creme Patissiere
- 1. In a saucepan, combine milk and vanilla. Bring almost to boil.
- 2. In a bowl, combine egg yolks, cornstarch, sugar, and salt.
- 3. Temper the eggs then pour everything back into the saucepan. Bring bring close to a low simmer for 2 min.
- 4. Remove from heat and stir in butter.
- 5. Place the custard in a bowl and cover the surface with plastic wrap. Let it chill overnight or at least 2 hours in the fridge.
- Matcha Latte
- 1. Combine Matcha packet with milk of your choice.
- Put It All Together
- 1. Spread the strawberry compote & creme along the sides of the glass. Then add your ice and Matcha!
