TIME: 1 hrs
CATEGORY: Desserts
INGREDIENTS
- • 2 egg whites
- • ⅜ cup sugar
- • ⅓ cake flour
- • ¼ cup melted butter
- • 2 Tbsp Aiya's Culinary Grade Matcha
DIRECTIONS
- 1. On a heavy sheet of paper, draw a circle (about 5-6cm in diameter) and cut it out. Write messages on separate sheets of paper to put into the cookies.
- 2. Add sugar to the egg whites and whip. Slowly add the melted butter and continue to mix.
- 3. Sift the cake flour and Matcha for cooking together. Add the dry ingredients to the mixture in step 2.
- 4. On a sheet of parchment paper, place the circle cutout from step 1. Take a spoonful of the batter and spread it over the cutout.
- 5. Set the oven to 340ºF. Bake the cookie until the edges are slightly browned (about 3 minutes) and take out.
- 6. Fold the sheets of paper with messages in two. While the cookie is still hot, place the message onto the cookie. Bring the sides of the cookie together and lift the sides to create an open space in the middle and let cool. Repeat the same steps for the rest of the batter.
