Matcha Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS
- • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- • ¾ cup white sugar
- • 1 tsp salt
- • 1 tsp vanilla
- • 1 egg
- • 2 cups all purpose flour
- • 2 tbsp Aiya Culinary Grade Matcha
- • sanding sugar (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2. Place softened butter, sugar, and salt in the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and beat for another minute.
- 3. Combine flour and matcha powder in a bowl. Give it a quick whisk to combine. Reduce the stand mixer speed to low and gradually add in the flour. Mix until dough is thick and combined.
- 4. Line 2 baking trays with parchment or silicone baking mats.
- 5. Fit a piping bag with a star or ribbed tip. Scoop cooking dough into the piping bag and pipe small heart shapes or circles onto the trays. Dust with sanding sugar if you wish.
- 6. Bake one tray at a time for 10-12 minutes. Allow cookies to cool and enjoy!
