Matcha Hot Chocolate

Warming and slightly decadent, our Matcha hot chocolate is the perfect sweet treat for a cold night. Sip it slowly to enjoy the creamy milky flavor, sweet chocolate body, and delicate Matcha finish.

[Ingredients]

Aiya Cooking Grade Matcha....................... 1 ~ 2 tsp
Milk.................................................................... 2 cups
White Chocolate............................................. 4 oz
Whipped Cream............................................. optional

 

 

 


Tip
: Any milk you like is fine for this recipe.  The original was made with 2% dairy milk but you can use any non dairy alternative or even half and half depending on taste.
Tip: For the smoothest, richest hot chocolate, chop the white chocolate as fine as possible.  The finer the chopped chocolate, the smoother your hot chocolate.

[Directions]

  1. Finely chop the chocolate and set it aside.
  2. In a pot, heat the milk, stirring often, until it is hot and steaming.
  3. Take the milk off the heat and sift the Matcha into it.  (Add 1 tsp of Matcha for a lighter tea flavor and 2 tsps for a deeper tea flavor.)
  4. Add the chopped white chocolate and stir together until smooth and the chocolate is fully melted.
  5. Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream (optional), and enjoy!
