Matcha Brownies

Our Matcha Brownies combine a lightly sweet Matcha green tea cake with bursts of white and semi-sweet chocolate chips. This recipe is perfect for introducing any brownie lover to baking with Matcha!

[Makes 1 Pan]

[Ingredients]

Aiya Cooking Grade Matcha.......... 1 tbsp
Flour.................................................. 1 cup
Sugar................................................. 1/3 cup
Baking Powder.................................. 1 tsp
Vanilla Extract.................................... 1 tsp
Eggs................................................... 2 eggs
Vegetable Oil..................................... 1/2 cup
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips........... 3/4 cup
White Chocolate Chips...................... 1/2 cup

 

 

Note:If you would like the finished brownies to be sweeter, you can increase the amount of sugar from 1/3 cup to 1/2.

[Directions]

  1. Add the eggs and sugar to a mixing bowl.  Mix well.
  2. Add the vegetable oil to the eggs and sugar.  Mix well.
  3. Sift the flour, Matcha, and baking powder together.  Add to the mixed wet ingredients half at a time.  Be careful to start mixing on low so as to not kick flour everywhere.
  4. Mix the chocolate chips together and gently fold into the brownie batter.
  5. Transfer the batter to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to fully cool before cutting up and serving.
