Matcha Tiramisu

The full bodied matcha flavor in our Matcha Tiramisu pairs perfectly with just about any liquor, making this the perfect grown-up dessert!

[Makes one medium sized bowl]

[Ingredients]


Mascarpone Cheese.............................. 7 oz

Sugar..................................................... 1/3 cup

Heavy Cream......................................... 1cup

Sponge or Pound Cake.......................... 6 slices

Aiya Cooking Grade Matcha................ 2 tbsp

Hot Water............................................... 1/4 cup

Your Favorite Liquor............................... 2 tbsp

Extra Matcha for Decoration                     


 

 

 

 

[Directions]

  1. Take out the mascarpone and allow it to come to room temperature.  Mix with a hand mixer until it becomes creamy.  Add the sugar and mix together.
  2. Pour the heavy cream in a bowl and place over an ice bath.  Beat it until it takes on a consistency similar to the mascarpone.  Fold into the mascarpone.
  3. Place the pieces of cake in a shallow bowl.  Dissolve the matcha in the hot water and pour over the cake along with the liquor.  Allow some time to soak.
  4. In your seving bowl, make a layer of the soaked cake.  Add some of the mascarpone on top and smooth it out.  Keep making layers of cake and cream to fill the serving dish.  Place in the refrigerator and allow to come together.
  5. When serving, dust with a generous amount of matcha to garnish.
