Matcha Tofu Ice Cream

Just mix and serve! Our Matcha Tofu Ice Cream recipe is easy to make and it's healthy!

[Serves 4]

[Ingredients] 

 

      Aiya Cooking Grade Matcha........ 1 tbsp

      Tofu.............................................. 7 oz

      Heavy Cream................................. ½ cup

      Sugar............................................ 4 tbsp

      Condensed Milk............................. 3 tbsp

      Mint.............................................. for garnish

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Note: This recipe as written is lightly sweet.  If you prefer sweeter ice cream, please increase the amount of sugar and condensed milk.  We do not, however, recommend adding more than two tablespoons of each.


[Directions]  

 

  1. Add the sugar and condensed milk to the heavy cream and beat until soft peaks form.  Dry the tofu of excess moisture and mix into the cream.  Mix until smooth.
  2. Sift the Matcha into a bowl and dissolve it in a small amount of water (about 1-2 tbsp) and mix until a smooth paste with no lumps.  
  3. Mix the Matcha into the ice cream base.  Pour into a container and place in the freezer to chill and set.
  4. Remove from the freezer 2-3 times while it is setting and mix well.  It will take approximately 3 hours to fully set.
  5. Scoop, serve, and garnish with mint.
